Delbert Nichols

Delbert Wayne Nichols, age 71 of Vincent, OH passed away peacefully at OSU Hospital in Columbus on July 30, 2026. He was born on July 30, 1955, in Parkersburg, WV to John and Dicie Nichols. 

He graduated from Warren High School in 1973. He started his career working at Cremer Iron and Metal and retired from American Car Crushing. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 yrs, Ginny Nichols, his children Penny Rogers (Tom Longfellow), Misty Nichols, Jennifer Faulk (Brad Schockman), 9 grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Brianna (Austin), Emma, Carter, Darian, Garret, Logan and Kaden and 2 great grandchildren Khloe and Grayson. He is also survived by his brother Oval Nichols (Shirley) and sisters Orpha Cox, Faye Griffin (Larry) and Charlotte Price and by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Dicie, brothers Charles and Larry Nichols and sisters Hazel Burgy and Juanita McCutcheon. 

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved his annual fishing trips to Vermont with his beloved wife, family and friends. He loved hunting and he took pride in teaching and passing his knowledge of the outdoors to his grandsons. When hunting wasn't in season, you could find him every Friday night passing his time singing karaoke among friends at The Station Lounge. He also loved watching football with his grandsons. 

His greatest legacy he left behind is his beautiful family. He will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Belpre Shrine Club, 1225 Blennerhassett Avenue, Belpre, OH 45714 on Sunday, August 9, 2026 at 11am.
