Listen to Obituary

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished Delores “Dori” L. Fallis, who left this world on April 28, 2026, at the age of 87.

Dori was the heart of her family—a woman whose kindness, strength, and unwavering love touched generations. She was a devoted mother to her four children and a proud grandmother to countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever carry her wisdom, warmth, and laughter in their hearts. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to many nieces, nephews, all of whom knew her as a source of comfort, joy, and steady guidance.

She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special and welcomed. Whether through her home-cooked meals, her gentle advice, or simply her presence, she created a sense of belonging that will never be forgotten. Her stories, her smile, and her enduring spirit will live on in the lives she shaped.

Dori retired from her job as a corrections officer and one of her favorite stories to tell about her time there was about her lunch getting stolen and how she found a creative solution to it. She had a gift for finding creative solutions to any problem that came her way—even something as simple as settling disputes between her grandchildren. Later in life, she was asked to watch a precocious puppy named Coffee Bean. Within just a few hours, she was asking to keep her—a request that surprised everyone, as she had never considered herself a pet person. Coffee has the biggest personality and Dori adored sharing all their shenanigans with everyone. Dori truly felt that Coffee could bring happiness to not just herself but everyone.

She is survived by her four children, Jeff (Linda) Fallis, Anthony (Tammy) Fallis, Joyce Simpkins, and R. Renee Fallis, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and her most beloved dog Coffee Bean. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sisters, and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on May 5, 2026, at Newcomer funeral home located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy.

With heavy hearts we find comfort in knowing that her love will continue to guide us. While our hearts were not ready, her wings were and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
