Dianne R. Humker, 83, a resident of the wonderful Inn at Olentangy Trail in Delaware, Ohio, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on July 11, 2026 after a brief illness.
Dianne was born on January 8, 1943 in Akron, Ohio. She graduated from North High School, Class of 1961 and then attended The University of Akron. Dianne married three times, lived in and traveled to many parts of the country, even Hawaii for a short time.
She was always excellent with numbers and systems. Over the years she had many accounting and billing related jobs, working at Wyan Auto Parts, Rhulin Construction, and the encoding center at USPS in Akron. Later in Canton, she worked at Professional Claims Management and Aultman Hospital, as well as several out of state companies in years prior, when she moved with former husbands to locations related to their work. Dianne had an artistic flare, and was known for her quick wit, and honest, down to earth way of looking at life.
She dearly loved her many dogs over the years, and she also loved and cared for other family members' dogs when they came to visit. Although she had no children of her own, she was everyone's favorite aunt, always engaged and supportive in the young lives of the many nieces and nephews she adored, and the children of her friends. She enjoyed finding creative personal gifts and funny cards for each one to treasure. She had a fun loving and generous heart and brought life to every gathering.
Dianne is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Marjorie Kroah, brother David Kroah, nephew Trent Gresham, sister-in-law Debbie Phal, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She will be so dearly missed by sister Jan (Paul) Norfolk, nieces Kimberly Gresham, Denise (Tom) Timmons, Jennifer Dianne Norfolk, nephew Jeffrey (Amy) Norfolk, great nieces and nephews David (Nisreen) Gresham, Raymond Gresham, Paige (Luis) Acevedo, Brady Norfolk, Sydney Norfolk, Liam Harris, Stoke Harris and great great nieces and nephews Amina, Mila, Adelaide, Ophelia, Theodore and William, and many dear cousins, co-workers, neighbors and friends from Akron, Canton, and Columbus.
At Dianne's request, no formal funeral services will be held.
In memory of Dianne, hug a nurse, be kind to a dog, and love your family.
