Diann Huston

July 29, 1948 — August 12, 2020

In the early morning hours of August 12, 2020, Diann Jane (Williamson) Huston passed on from this life and went on to receive her eternal heavenly reward. Diann was born on July 29, 1948 to Chalmer and Martha (McCormick) Williamson in Columbus, Ohio. Diann was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her loving husband, Paul Huston of Grove City, OH. Her legacy lives on through her two daughters, Clarissa Miclat of Painesville, OH and Amber Scott of North Richland Hills, TX. Diann was blessed with two godly sons in-law, Jay-ar Miclat and Wade Scott. Proverbs 17:6 says, "Grandchildren are the crown of the aged"; this was certainly true of Diann. She joyfully loved spending time loving on and playing with her grandchildren: Huston (8) and Noah Miclat (4) and Ella Grace (3) and Olivia Faith Scott (1).
On August 8, 2020 Paul and Diann celebrated their 50th, "golden", anniversary. They lovingly built a life and home together in Grove City, OH raising their daughters. Her life goal was to be a servant for the Lord and to teach her girls to be gracious stewards of their resources to bless others.
Favorite moments of Diann's life were times enjoyed with family, church family, friends and being outside working in her flowerbeds. Diann's backyard deck was affectionately known as her "Shangri-La". She and Paul loved spending spring and summer evenings sitting on the deck swinging, watching the graceful play of the hummingbirds and taking in the beauty of the flowers surrounding their yard.
Diann was blessed with a God-given talent for teaching and art. She shared her talents with students in the Reynoldsburg City Schools for 20 plus years. Because of her passion and love, many former students maintained contact with Diann, sharing their life experiences and art appreciation. After being forced to leave the classroom due to a significant hearing loss, she continued her working career at Nationwide Insurance.
The Lord was the center of her life and that became incredibly evident during some of her greatest challenges in life. She was known for her cheerful demeanor and for having a smile on her face. Diann will be significantly missed by family and friends.
Immediate family held a small celebration of Diann's life at her and Paul's home on Saturday, August 15, 2020. In lieu of flowers/gifts, the family graciously asks for memorial donations to be made in Diann's honor to Fort Hill Christian Youth Camp; C/O Brett Triplett; 2725 Bridlewood Street; Circleville, OH 43113.
