Don Mallon, 76 of Columbus, passed away, surrounded by his loving family at Grant Medical Center on April 22, 2016.
Born on August 19, 1939 to the late Ralph and Violet (James) Mallon in Obetz, OH.
Retired from Timken's after 34 years and a part time firefighter with Hamilton Township for 27 years.
Survived by wife of 50 years Teresa (Spear) Mallon, children Greg (Laurie) Mallon, James (Lisa) Moore, Jane (Forrest) Osborne, Roger Moore and Frank (Vickie) Mallon, grandchildren Jennifer Mallon Gray (Josh), Amy (Jonathan) Seese, Amberly Mallon, Nic (Stacie) Mallon, Ashley Moore and Donald Mallon, great grandchildren Madison, Hannah, Nathan, Fiona, Nolan, Lilly, Savannah and Kennady, siblings Janet, Londa, Carl and Carroll, 4 sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, and a furry friend Penny.
Preceded in death by brother Robert Mallon.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH on April 26, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10am. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hamilton Township Fire, 1460 Obetz Rd., Columbus, Ohio 43207.
