In Loving Memory of Donald "Darb" Miller

Donald "Darb" Miller was born on December 11, 1946, in Wheeling, West Virginia, and peacefully passed away on August 11, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.

Born in Wheeling, West Virginia, and raised in Shadyside, Ohio. Donald graduated from Shadyside High School in 1964. He went on to attend Ohio University, where he studied Education and Science, reflecting his lifelong appreciation for learning. Following his education, Donald pursued a career in teaching, educating students in both West Virginia and Ohio.

During his years at New Albany Schools in New Albany, Ohio, Donald's dedication to his students extended beyond the classroom. He coached both football and wrestling and was proud to have started the wrestling program at New Albany, creating an opportunity for generations of student-athletes to participate in the sport. His passion for science and education also led him to travel throughout the United States to research and help design the science lab for the New Albany School District, contributing to an educational space that would benefit students for years to come. After many years dedicated to education, Donald retired from New Albany Schools in 2002.

Following his retirement from education, Donald worked at New Albany Shooting Range and Black Wing Shooting Center, where he continued to stay active and connect with others.

He was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Miller; his parents, Donald F. Miller and June A. Miller; and his brother, John D. Miller.

Donald is lovingly survived by his wife, Jane A. Miller, his children, Donald (Lisa) Miller, Jeanne (Denis) Daly, and David (Heather) Miller; and his daughter-in-law, Robyn Miller, wife of his late son Daniel.

He leaves behind his grandchildren, Tori Miller, Taylor (Ryan) Bishop, Trip Daly, William Daly, Owen Miller, Ellie Miller, and Beck Miller; as well as his great-grandchild, Barrett Bishop.
