Donald Francis Piotrowski

Donald F. Piotrowski 73, died unexpectedly on October 23, 2025 on Long Beach Island, New Jersey at the setting he loved. 

He was born March 29, 1952 in Plainfield, New Jersey, the son of Chester and Frances (Welc) Piotrowski. Don graduated high school from The Wardlaw-Hartridge School, Class of 1971 and from Wagner College. After graduation he started a 32 year career at Mack Trucks where he met his wife Eileen. Don was a loving and devoted husband. They celebrated 43 years of marriage in April. They lived in Maryland and Ohio. After leaving Mack Trucks Don pursued a 10 year career at Nucor Steel in Marion Ohio. 

His parents predeceased him. Surviving in addition to his wife Eileen (Cain) Piotrowski are  his daughter Caitlin Piotrowski (Matt Albery), and son Ryan Piotrowski. Don was a loving father and supported his children in their endeavors over the years. He loved them deeply. Also surviving are Don's brother William (Bill) Piotrowksi and his wife Cindy, of Tallahassee, Florida, a sister-in-law Janice Sollazzo and her husband Peter Sollazzo of Ocean City, New Jersey; many nieces, nephews and their families. 

Don was never one to sit still. Upon retirement he worked at a local coffee shop and a U-Haul rental office. Don found great joy as a greeter at St. John Christian School and volunteering at Faith Mission in Columbus, Ohio. Don fiercely loved his family, friends and neighbors. He will be missed. 

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Arrangements will be made through Newcomer Funeral Home in Powell, Ohio.
