Donald Ralph Rieser Sr., known to friends and as Don, was a remarkable individual whose life journey began on October 3, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio. He entered the world amidst changing times and would go on to forge a path filled with dedication, hard work, and love for his family.
Don served honorably in the United States Air Force from October 18, 1948, until his discharge on August 15, 1952. During his service, he traveled the world and embraced the spirit of camaraderie that comes with military life. After leaving the Air Force, he joined forces with his brother Fred to establish an auto body shop. Their entrepreneurial spirit did not stop there; Don later started an auto business with his sons, which now proudly extends as a fourth-generation family practiced businesses.
A very stoic man, Don was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his family. He took great pride in the 40-acre estate he built for his loved ones, a testament to his dedication and care for those he cherished. Don also had a passion for fishing, which led him to visit Canada, allowing him to enjoy the serene waters of Waliston Lake.
Donald is survived by his loving family, including his sons Steven (Cheryl) Rieser, Donald Ralph Rieser, Jr., Joseph A. (Sueann) Rieser, and Ronald (Cindy) Rieser, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who carry forward his legacy.
He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore Rieser; mother, Stella Rieser; daughter Terri Mullen; wife Phylis Rieser; brother Theodore Rieser, Jr.; sister Margree Miller; sister Ginny Williams; brother Jack Rieser; sister Carol Rieser; and brother Fred Rieser.
