Donna M. Spillman

Donna Mae Spillman, 82, passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 17, 2025. She leaves behind her five children Mary Cannon, Rick (Sandy) Spillman, Patti (Dan) Damron, Vicki (Ricky) Wright and Kelli Spillman; Ellen Garling, long time and beloved family friend; her twin sister Diann Breece and brother Chuck (Carol) McClary. Donna (affectionately known as Gigi to most) was blessed with eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren, and she always looked forward to and enjoyed their visits with her.

Donna joins her beloved husband of 63 years, Raymond Spillman as well as her mom and daddy, Loren and Frances McClary, four brothers (Art, Larry, Ed and Roy McClary) and one sister (Betty Zawacki), one grandchild and two great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their deepest and most sincere gratitude to long time neighbors and dear friends Charlie and Diana Conrad who were always there to help in any way they could and visited with Donna almost every day. We can never thank them enough!

Donna was the true family matriarch. Every August for over 60 years, Donna would be sure the entire extended McClary family (about 100 people) gathered together for the Loren McClary Family Reunion. She sent the invitations, cooked lots of the food and embroidered many, many quilt pieces for the family quilts that were the “grand prize” from the raffle each year. It was truly one of her most favorite days of the year. Donna also loved Christmas and every year gathered her children and grands together for a Christmas Eve celebration at her home and she always made sure everyone received gifts that she spent all year buying. She was an amazing, thoughtful gift giver and always got the most appropriate things for each person! Donna/Mamma/Grandma/Gigi/Aunt Donna was adored by everyone in her family and will leave a very deep hole for all of us that will never be refilled.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio where family and friends can visit from 11:00 to 12:00, with funeral services starting at 12:00, immediately followed by interment at Northlawn Memory Gardens, 7060 OH-3, Westerville, Ohio.
