Doretha Gale,72, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 9, 2017. She was a member of Holy Temple Church of God Inc., a previous member of Gospel Tabernacle Church of God In Christ, and Friendship Pentecostal Church.
Doretha was born in Newport News, VA on March 21, 1945 to Isaac and Geneva (Holmes) Burgess and preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Claudia Spencer.
Survivors include her daughter, Roshelle (Lamotte) Matthews; granddaughter, Geneva; aunt; Mary; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Doretha worked as a social worker for Franklin county children services for numerous years.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017, 10AM – 11AM at Holy Temple Church of God Inc., 1072 E. 14th Ave, Columbus, OH 43211, with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00A AM.
The Interment will be at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St, Galloway, OH 43119 following the service.
