Doris "Doe Doe" (Olgibbe) Hammond, 91 years old, passed away Saturday August 4th 2018 peacefully in her home with hospice care. Doris, lovingly called "Doe Doe" most of her life, was born January 19th, 1927 in Gleaco Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Anna Pearl (Ryan) Olgibee. Doe Doe was the proud wife of Fred Hammond, a mother, a grandmother and a great-grandmother. Doe Doe lived a full and happy life and always had a smile on her face and a joke on her lips. Doe Doe was a kind and gentle person whose favorite memory was getting married to her husband Fred Hammond and raising her two children. Doe Doe's family picture always included a beloved dog, lake life, family, and friends.
Doe Doe is survived by her granddaughter Tammy, grandson Shawn, granddaughter Stephanie, great-granddaughter Madison, great-grandson Taylor, great-grandson Shane, great-granddaughter Whitney, great-granddaughter Vanessa, great-grandson Branden, great-grandson Connor, as well as many loved friends and fellow church members including her closest friend and care giver Melissa and her husband David. Doe Doe is preceded in death by her husband Fred, brother Billy, sister Betty, brother bobby, son Mark, daughter Linda, great-granddaughter Hanna.
Her loved one's will be celebrating her life and mourning her death Thursday, August 9th at Newcomers Funeral Home in Grove City, Ohio. Viewing will be 12pm-2pm followed immediately by the funeral procession and burial at Union Cemetery.
May we all take comfort in knowing Doe Doe will be missed, but never forgotten. Her footprint will always be in the sand.
