Doris Gay Wood

Doris G. Wood, 85, passed away on September 27, 2024. She was born on September 6, 1939 in Matewan, WV.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett "Wess" Wood, parents, John Henry and Ruby (Collins) Ford. Also preceded by siblings Alice, Logean, Louise, Nollie, Deb, Frank, Jack, John, and Lewis.

Surviving family includes daughter, Angela (John) Crowe, grandchildren, Jonathan (Kelly) Crowe, Amanda (Ryan Golden) Crowe, great-grandson, Theodore, sisters, Pat (Con) Dempsey, Zelm (Marvin) Ingles and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 9-10am, Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 where a funeral service will begin at 10am. 

Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, OH.
