Dorothy A. Gaus (Lincicome), 81, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Dorothy was born on June 8, 1937.
She is preceded in death by death by her husband of 52 years, Dan; mother, Genevive and brother, Glenn.
Dorothy was a loving mother to MIke Gaus and MelAnne Brown; grandmother to Katie (Marcus) Seas, Morgan (Marissa) Fagnani and Brock Gaus; great-grandmother to Brody and Lucy Seas; mother-in-law to Amy Smith; lifelong friend to Margaret Casto. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dorothy retired from Westerville City Schools where she worked as a secretary at Westerville North High School for many years. She enjoyed her time at North and looked forward to her monthly luncheons with her friends and colleagues even after retirement. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and going to the movies. She was a great cook and she loved making Sunday dinners for her family.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd, Columbus, OH 43229. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dorothy's honor to the Franklin County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center.
