Dorothy Ann (Stephenson) Pinkerton, age 76, of Columbus, OH went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2014. She was born on August 25, 1937 in Springfield, OH to the late Harry and Lois (Riley) Stephenson. Her grandparents, Marion Leslie Riley and Eva St. Clair Larkins Riley, who raised her after her mother died, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Louise (Young) Penwell and her ex-husband, Homer Pinkerton.
She retired from Core Materials Corp. in 1999. She had over 18 years of service. She was a member of Buckeye Christian Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Toni (Steve) Watson of Washington C.H., OH and Tammy (Bob) Shasteen of Grove City, OH, one brother, Richard Young of Orient, OH, three grandchildren, Melody (Watson) Smith, Mark Watson, and Jonathan Shasteen, four great-grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Hailey McGinnis, Cameron Watson and Maddox Watson. She is also survived by her beloved dog and companion, Reggie.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 1pm, Friday, May 23, 2014 at Buckeye Christian Church, 1528 London-Groveport Road, Grove City, OH officiated by Pastor Stan Kirtlan.
Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.
