Douglas P. Muir

Douglas P. Muir, affectionately known as Doug, was born on June 14, 1954, and he passed away on September 2, 2025. He retired from the Monterey Care Center, where he served as a dedicated custodian. Doug was known for his very lovable nature, his giving spirit, and his willingness to do anything for anyone. He had an outgoing personality that drew people to him.

Doug cherished spending time with his grandkids, especially Kalani, Bella, and Zayne, and he took great pride in his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicky Muir, and his daughters, Candace (Chad) Williams, Sarah (Jason) Rothgeb, and Chastity Muir. His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren: Danny (Emilee), Desirae, Laila, Zayne, Jay (Brytani), Bryant, Derek, Corrie, and Tristan, as well as his great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Bella, Kalani, Bentley, Bradd, Makenna, Lexi, Adisyn, Rylan, and Aaliyah. Doug is further survived by his sisters, Shirley (Chic) Bowman and Pauline Mason.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Charles Muir, and his mother, Ercil Parrett. Doug's love for his family and his joyful spirit will always be remembered by those who knew him.
