Doctor Carlos Manuel Coral Cevallos, age 57, joined his loving Mother and went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on August 23rd, 2020.
Carlos was born into a loving family, in Long Island, New York on March 27, 1963 to the late Piedad Marlene Coral Cevallos and her husband Engineer Carlos Jorge Coral. Doctor Carlos Coral is survived by his wife (Ketty Parede) of 10 months. His beautiful sister Monica M. Coral Otero (Erwin Otero). His beloved daughters Maria Fernanda Schlaegel, Tanisha Mishelle Coral, and Ivette Arianna Coral. His handsome sons Carlos Andres Coral, Gabriel Abraham Coral, and Christopher Boso. His nephew Yosaiah Otero. His granddaughters Alise Ilene Schlaegel and Violet Elizabeth Hahn. His grandson Aiden Matthew Grau.
Carlos graduated from medical school in Guayaquil, Ecuador from Universidad Catolica Santiago de Guayaquil with his MD in General Surgery and Practitioner on April 16, 1993. Carlos was a Medical/Community Interpreter for 20 years in Columbus, Ohio. His passions were medicine, interpreting, and teaching. He held a degree in ESL from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in conjunction with CEN, Centro Ecuatoriano Norte Americano of Guayaquil, Ecuador. Carlos had interpreted for the OhioHealth Medical System and currently had held a Coordinating position as a Medical Interpreter for The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and was also a Medical Interpreter for Nationwide Childrens Hospital.
Carlos did not know a stranger. He was a friend to all and always had a smile on his face. To know Carlos, was to love him. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and co-workers.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Sunday, August 30th, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43231.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 31, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville - OH.
