Duane J. Scott

Duane J. Scott, 91, passed away May 5, 2026. He was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Carol (David) Stephens. Duane is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jean Scott; children, Mike (Diane) Scott, Greg (Stephanie) Scott, Deborah Schramm, Jacqueline (Will) Haskins, William (Carolyn) Otis, Bret (Vikki) Hagans, and Phyllis (Kevin) Cain; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brother, Dale (Shirley) Scott; sister, June VonEmmons; and favorite sister-in-law, Jane Barry.

Duane was a resident of the Hilltop area and then moved to Port Clinton for 21 years until returning back to Columbus. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed going out on Lake Erie. He was also an avid segmented woodturner who made beautiful sculptures.

Visitation Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 12pm to 2pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Interment to follow at Grove City Cemetery (new section).
