Dustin "Dusty" Michael Stickel, age 52, left us unexpectedly on November 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born on August 12, 1973, in Columbus, Ohio, Dusty was a beloved son of Billie Stickel and Nancy Williams. His warm spirit and kindness touched everyone he met, earning him friendships that spanned a lifetime.

Dusty is preceded in death by his cherished grandparents, Billie and Betty Stickel, Doug and Ilene Cochran, his brother Tony Stickel, as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law Gary Bennett and Debbie Danielson, and his aunt Nancy Stickel. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 15 years, Melissa Bennett. Dusty's proud legacy continues through his children, Kenya (Rob), Patrick (Faith), Parker (Sydney), and Harley (Kacy). As a grandfather, he found joy in his grandchildren, Shayde, Syleena, Patrick "Hoss," Fynn, and Lilah, who brought immeasurable joy and light into his life. His love also enveloped his parents, Billie (Coline) Stickel and Nancy (Danny) Williams, and his siblings, Deana (Mike) Ashford, Bryan (Erica) Stickel, and Andrea Stickel. He held dear his favorite uncle, Terry Stickel, and valued the connection he had with his sisters-in-law, Stephenie Cardenaz and Nikki Green, mother-in-law, Marla Bennett, as well as his brother-in-law, Shawn Chapman. In addition to his immediate family, Dusty leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members whose hearts he touched deeply.

Dusty was a remarkable person whose passion for living reflected in everything he did. He had an undeniable charisma, never meeting a stranger; instead, he made friends wherever he went. His smile was infectious, showcasing his trademark dimples, bringing warmth and comfort to those around him. He worked for the Village of Plain City. For over 20 years, Dusty poured his heart into coaching baseball, dedicating 14 of those years to coaching his own son. His commitment to nurturing young talent exemplified his ability to inspire others, showing them the value of teamwork and perseverance. Dusty had a generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand and support those in need.

The great outdoors called to Dusty, and he found solace in duck hunting and deer hunting, activities that allowed him to connect with nature. Known as a master on the grill. A fiercely loyal fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Green Bay Packers, Dusty enjoyed gathering with friends and family to cheer on his teams. He loved the game of golf, as well as relishing simple pleasures like spending time in his garage.

Dusty’s presence will be profoundly missed, as those who knew and loved him carry a void in their hearts. His spirit will continue to shine through the memories he created and the lives he touched.
