Earl Lee Purcell

Earl L. Purcell, 56, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Chillicothe, OH. Earl was born on July 20, 1968, in Columbus, Ohio to Earl R. and Jean (Bowers) Purcell.

Earl is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, stepdad Clyde Mahan, sister Mary (Mahan) Carrier, brother-in-law Jerry Carrier, brother Chris Mahan, nephew Robert Perdew, many aunts and uncles and several cousins.

He is survived by his daughters, grandchildren, sister Darlene Knowlton, nephews Matthew Armitage, Nicholas Summers, niece Sarah Knowlton, aunts, Mary (Mike) LaFollette, Carol Bowers, sister-in-law Donna Mahan, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

He worked several jobs, including Buckeye Diamond Logistics and KCI. He was an avid fisherman, competing in numerous tournaments. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing cards.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Southwest Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newcomer Funeral Home to assist with funeral costs.
