Edgar Allen Lucas went to be with the LORD on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.
Ed was born in Rush, KY to William Henry and Goldie Jane (LeMaster) Lucas. In 1957 he located to the Columbus, Ohio area and married Rachel (Stewart) Lucas who preceded him in death.
Ed is survived by his four children, Wayne (Pam) Lucas, Teri (Ralph) Spence, Mark (Kimberly) Lucas, Dayn (Daryel) Hanson; ten grandchildren, Shawn, Destiny, Landon, Samarra, Davaun, Chiara, Jacinta, Matt, Amber, Jesse; 17 great grandchildren, Caleb, Juliana, Weston, Remington, Andriana, Alyvia, Gentry, Scarlett, Lexi, Drew, Jason, Mason, Paxton, Nathan, Devan, Elaina, and Zachary; his brothers, Paul, Gene, and Gary Lucas. Ed is also survived by his fiancee, Lorraine Pittman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Goldie Lucas and his wife, Rachel (Stewart) Lucas; and brothers, Chester, James, and Benjamin Lucas.
Ed was a long time member and board member of TurnPoint Apostolic Church of Groveport, Ohio where he was involved in the youth ministry and teaching Bible studies.
Ed was a painter by trade but his passion was teaching. Whether it be about the love of God or mathematics, he excelled at both. He also loved growing his garden and sharing it's bounty. His other passions were traveling, reading, jigsaw, crossword and sudoku puzzles. He showed his love for his family through actions, rather than words.
Visitation Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017 from 11am until the time of Funeral Service at 12pm at TurnPoint Apostolic Church, 7718 Groveport Rd, Groveport, Ohio Interment to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester, OH.
