Edward Harold Boerner Jr, age 69, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away on July 12, 2026. He was born on December 12, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Edward Sr. and Barbara Boerner.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Terri Boerner, brothers, Jeff and Scott Boerner.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Shannon (Sean), Ryan (Ashley), Ethan, grandchildren, Kyle, Anthony, Alexis, Allen, Leah, Amelia, Logan, Arya, siblings, Karen (Rocky), Karla (Bill), Ron, and many extended family members and friends.
After his time in the United States Air Force, he built a life of service as a firefighter, a operator for COTA, and taking care of his son, Ethan.
Ed enjoyed reading The Bible, wood-working, building cars, and spending time with his children. He will be remembered for his steady-heart, the safety his family felt in his presence, and his integrity. He was a kind and generous person who deeply cared for others. He could repair almost anything and taught the value of patience and love through long phone calls just to check in.
He will be deeply missed.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43231 for calling hours from 9am-10am with a Funeral Service starting at 10am. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Maplewood Cemetery.
