Edward Daniel Prose, 86, Columbus, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born in Rushtown, OH on January 19, 1929, to Daniel Charles and Mary Elizabeth (Simon) Prose and is preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sue (Hoover) Prose; daughters, Debbie (Rick) Starbuck, Julie (Jerry) Geiger, Karen (Gene) Hughes, Kathy (Jr) Schirtzinger; sons, Dave (Sharon) Prose and Jeff (Jo) Prose; sister, Jovita (Mac) McBroom; brothers, Charlie (Marg), Walt (Pat) and Bob (Judy) Prose; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ed was a Korean War Veteran who enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and bowling at Sequoia Lanes.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, April 6, 2015, 2-4 PM & 6-8PM with Rosary at 7:30pm - Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 10:00 AM at St. James the Less, 1625 Oakland Park, Columbus, OH 43224.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Honor Flight Columbus, P.O. Box 12036, Columbus, OH 43212.
