Edward A. Davis, 83, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born August 10, 1931 in Warren, OH, son of the late James and Elizabeth McCambridge Davis.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Miller Davis; siblings, John, Bill, James, Patrick, Sarah, Margaret, Alice and Francis.
He served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict and the Army during Vietnam.
Edward is survived by his daughters, Deborah Lynn Davis and Sarah Davis; sons, John (Holly) Miller, Edward Davis, William Davis, James (Beth) Davis; grandchildren; Connor Davis, James Davis, Samantha Mock, Carolann Miller, Laura Miller, Joy Miller, Tiera Davis, Jalisa Davis, Daquan Davis, Steven (Megan) Davis, Constance Davis, Robert Davis, William Davis and Catherine Davis; 6 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus.
Inurnment will be in Dayton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
