Edward G. Jackson, 82, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 in Gahanna, OH. He was born on January 19, 1934 in Alabama City, AL to Samuel and Mamie Jackson.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jackson; and long-time companion, Ms. Willie Jean Edwards.
He is survived by his daughters, Tea Jai (Scott) McMannus, Thalaina (Paul) Rice and Felene Underwood; sons David "Butch" Howell, Lawrence, Keith, Shawn, Dwayne (Norine) and David "Tiny" Edwards; many grandchildren with special granddaughter, Danielle Jeanette Rice; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was last happily employed at Giant Eagle in Gahanna.
Family will receive friends on Friday October 14, 2016 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 followed by Funeral Services at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Glen Rest Memorial Estates. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shadowbox Live, Donations Shadowbox, 503 S. Front St. #260, Columbus, OH 43215 in Edward's honor.
