Edward (Ed) P. Stump, of Plain City, born Nov 24 1949 in Columbus, Ohio passed away suddenly Monday, March 31, 2025. Graduate of Central High School, Class of 1968. Enlisted in the U.S. Navy in ‘68 and served for 4 yrs as a navigator on the USS Ogden and then served another 2 yrs in the reserves. Worked as a Commercial Pilot at Funk Enterprises when he met his one and only true love. Retired from OSU in 2015. Ed’s passions included family gatherings, traveling to White Castle with his best fur baby (Brandi), hanging out with Daniel, shooting his guns, road trips with Dawn, going to see Jeff Dunham and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra with his wife, and going to the American Legion. Born to Arthur and Martha (Bush) Stump. Preceded in death by father and mother, sister (Terrie), and brother (Bob). Survived by loving wife of 39 years, Linda (Ellis); daughter, Dawn (Grames) and fur baby Brandi; bonus children, Kelly (Luke) Kuhns, Ben (Chelsea) Lewis, and Kara (Jason) Leuthold; special sister-in-law Debbie (Lewis); brother and sister-in-laws; many loved nieces and nephews; best friend since childhood, Danny Waugh; and many loved friends.
Graveside service will be at 12pm on May 4th, 2025 at Sunset Cemetery: 6959 West Broad St, Galloway, OH 43119. Family will receive friends immediately after at the American Legion: 1571 Demorest Rd, Columbus, OH 43228.
