He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kati Spriggs and parents, Charles L. and Nettie May Spriggs, siblings, Charles and Bobby Spriggs and Rebecca Spriggs and Christine Groth.
Surviving family includes children, Todd Spriggs, Kristin Spriggs, Edward Spriggs II, siblings, Juanita, Linda, Charlene, Nettie and many grandchildren and family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a funeral service will begin at 7pm.
