Edward L. Young, 84, passed away Dec. 31, 2016. He was preceded in death by parents, William (Mary) and Rose Young; sister, Gladys; brothers, Ernest, Douglas, William "Billy", Thomas, and Owen.
Ed is survived by wife, Sigrid; children, Sharon (Bob), Vicki, and Dean; grandchildren, Jennifer, Teresa, Jill, Allison, Derek, Erik, and Luke; great-grandchildren, Ciara, Olive, Miciajah, and Lafe; brothers, Dewey Goldsmith, Chuck and David Young.
Ed served as Sergeant First Class in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Ed was also a home builder and remodeled homes for several decades. He was past President of the Jungen Choir for the Columbus Maennerchor and was an usher for Ohio State Buckeye football games. Ed's kind heart, wit, and love for life and animals will remain forever in our hearts. He will be sorely missed by his family and dear friends.
Visitation Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 from 12 - 2 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with Funeral Service starting at 2pm.
