Elena Christianne-Michelle Howland

Elena Christianne-Michelle Howland, age 5, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025. Born in Columbus, Ohio on August 6, 2019, she was a bright light in the lives of her family and those fortunate enough to know her.

Elena is lovingly survived by her devoted parents, Hunter Howland and Britnie Reed, who cherish the joy she brought into their lives every single day. She will be remembered for her playful spirit and the countless smiles she created among her siblings: Alexander, Elijah, Lincoln, and Octavia. Together, they shared adventures filled with laughter, creativity, and a little bit of delightful chaos, as Elena loved to take charge and boss them around in the sweetest way possible.

Her love extended beyond her immediate family. Elena’s grandparents, Christina (James) Ross, John (Janele) Reed, and Michelle (Jim) DePuy, embraced her with warmth and affection, showering her with love and guidance. She was also surrounded by a wonderful network of aunts and uncles, including special aunt Kita, who made every occasion memorable, especially the cherished “Kita Days.” Uncles Trent, Kyle (Draven), Bishop, Kane, and aunts Danielle (Zach), Kaitlin, and all of her many great-grandparents were always ready with open arms and playful hearts.

Elena had a flair for life that shone brightly through her passions. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of cheating at board games, where her charming smile would often win over her competitors. Her enthusiasm for makeup and nail polish expressed her budding personality, while being a princess added magic to her everyday adventures. She found joy in spending time with her many cousins, thriving in their playful banter and camaraderie.

Elena was indeed a spirited soul, known for her love of riding on the golf cart, where her ornery and sassy side came to life. Her joy was contagious, and her laughter echoed in the hearts of all who knew her.

With her loving family by her side, including her beloved pets, all 11 of whom were cherished companions, Elena’s spirit will undoubtedly live on in the memories of sweet moments shared and the joy she inspired in the world.

Though her time with us was far too brief, Elena Christianne-Michelle Howland will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her forever. Her vibrant spirit and unyielding love will remain in our hearts, a testament to a life celebrated, if only for a moment, as a beautiful princess in her own right.
