Elfrida M. Turay, 28, Westerville, OH passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017, surrounded by her loving family.
Elfrida was born on September 14, 1988, in Freetown, Sierra Leone to Saidu Turay and Kadie Kamara Turay and is survived by her parents; husband, Junior Kanu; son, Sahid Kanu; sister, Sally Sesay; brothers, Hassan Turay, Abu Turay and Saidu Turay; adopted mothers, Effie Mammah, Hawa Bundu, Kadie Bundu, Millicent Mansaray; adopted sisters, Mariama Bangura, Hawa Bundu, Fatima Koroma Jah; adopted brothers, Kelvin Mammah and Alvin Mammah; uncles, Foday Turay, Abu Bundu, Bob-Sam Turay, Idris S. Koroma; plus many other family members and numerous friends.
Elfrida worked at Forest Hills Nursing facility for many years and was associated with the Mabohanday Limba Organization Ohio Chapter, a staunch member of House of Glory Ministry and a member of Ebenezer Methodist Church Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 11 am – 12 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH 43231 with the Funeral Service at 12 PM.
Interment will follow at Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville, OH 43081.
