Elizabeth Balisi Crist July 3, 1963-August 16, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Balisi Crist, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who peacefully left this world on August 16, 2025, at the age of 62, in her home in Grove City, Ohio, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Elizabeth was bom on July 3, 1963, in Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Philippines, the youngest of ten siblings. She was the cherished daughter of Petra Almario Addun and Teodoro Acorda Balisi. From a young age, Elizabeth showed great promise-academically gifted, athletic, and full of spirit. She attended West Central School and graduated from Cagayan National High School, consistently excelling in her studies and earning a place in the top section of her classes.
She went on to eam her degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Major in Management from the prestigious Far Eastern University in Manila. Elizabeth's professional joumey took her across countries, from the Philippines to Japan, where she studied literature and the Japanese language, eventually becoming the Vice President of Strong International Philippines.
Her love of travel led her to meet her husband, Michael Crist, and they were married on September 18, 2010, in Kowloon Restaurant in the Philippines. Elizabeth later moved to the United States and became a citizen and voted in every election. She was a lifetime member of the VFW auxiliary and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary She worked for Macy's until her illness prevented her from continuing. Throughout her life, Elizabeth remained passionate about singing, playing volleyball, running, and especially cooking delicious Filipino dishes for those she loved.
Elizabeth had a strong and determined spirit. She faced her illness with courage and grace, fighting bravely until the very end. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that she is now free from pain and at peace in the arms of our Creator.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Crist, stepdaughter Lori Ann Crist; her beloved children Sarah and Yubehiro; and three adored grandchildren. Her memory will also live on in the hearts of her siblings, extended family, and countless friends both in the US, and the Philippines.
Elizabeth my wife, my partner, my best friend you will always be the love of my life. Until we meet again, Honey I love you so much.
