Elizabeth was born in Buckner, MO in 1935. She was a graduate of William Chrisman High School, class of 1953, in Independence, MO, the same year the man she would marry arrived in the United States from Poland. Elizabeth worked at the A & W Root Beer where she met a handsome US Army soldier, the love of her life and soul mate. They married in 1956 and celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary before Joe's passing in 2011.
Elizabeth was generous to a fault and extremely selfless. Known for her positive outlook, she would cheer up others, no matter what her own situation might be. She was an avid reader and was an expert seamstress, made quilts, crocheted, and needlepoint. And what a cook! She was up early making breakfast, packing a lunch, and having dinner ready for Joe when he returned home from work. They always kissed each other goodbye when he left for work in the morning. Elizabeth was his partner in their business, as bookkeeper, and supported him always. She will be dearly missed but know she and her love are reunited.
There will be a private service for the family and interment of both Elizabeth and Jozef's ashes will follow later at Oakland Cemetery, Buckner, MO.
