Elmo Kilgore age 73 of Columbus went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 28 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born in Letcher County Kentucky to Lawrence Kilgore and Nellie (Hampton) Layman, stepfather Darwin Austin Layman who all preceded him in death. He was also preceded by son Brian, sisters Lottie Kilgore and Barbara Rife, and brothers William "Pete", David. Survivors include his wife Connie, daughters Donna (Steven) Gieseck, Pam (Paul) Yarborough, brothers Denver (Dolly), Walter (Kaye), Charles , Roger, Doug. Sister Brenda (Henry) Cook. 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday January 2, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home SW 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home, military graveside services will be held at 1:00PM at Vernon Cemetery in Scioto County.
