Elva Violet Gillis, 89, went home to be with the Lord February 14, 2017. Born October 19, 1927 to Merle and Elizabeth (Wynn) Burkett of Bolivar, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Francis Gillis, and daughter Beverly Ann Gillis. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Hampton and Susan Gillis, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest next to her late husband at Dayton National Cemetery following a private service.
