Elvin Bocook, age 82 passed away at home on Monday, October 17, 2016. He was born on February 6, 1934 in Logan County, WV to the late Kennis and Lucy Bocook. He is finally home.
As a young man Elvin proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Air Force and serving during the Korean Conflict.
He retired from Dennison Hydraulics after 42 years of service. He was a long time member of Salem Baptist Church in Columbus.
He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest and William West, Robert and Paul Bocook and his sister, Judy Ann Bocook.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Wilma; children Debra Huff, Susie Champion, Elvin Bocook, Jr. and Matthew Bocook; sisters, Louise Scott, Virginia Grimett and Kathleen Farley; grandchildren, Denny, Ronnie, Robbie, Jonathon, Donald, Jenna, Timmy, Marissa, Blair and Tommi Ann.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm, Friday, October 21, 2016 at Newcomer Northeast Chapel 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231 where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 22, 2016. Interment at Blendon Central Cemetery.
