Elwood Charles "Woody" Sandine, age 62, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 1, 2016.
He was born on May 13, 1954 in Newark, OH to the late Elwood Charles Merkle and Donna Rhoads.
He was in the graduating class of 1972 at Franklin Heights High School.
Surviving family includes adoptive mother, Dolores A. Sandine (Butt); sister, Catherine (Archibald Campbell) Sandine; brothers, Eric (Ginger Brenning) Sandine, Gordon Sandine and Leonard Sandine; children, Brenda Sandine, Joseph (Shannon) Sandine and Angela (Gary) Rawlins; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; best friend/grandson, Payton Sandine; close friend, Teresa Cline; also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.
Preceded in death by adoptive father Lyle Sandine.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5-8PM at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr, Columbus, OH 43214.
