KIMBERLING
Ernest "Ernie" E. Kimberling, 72, of Columbus, Ohio was surrounded by his loving family and his wife of 52 years when he went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 23, 2016. He was born in Columbus on October 2, 1943 to Carl and Marcella Kimberling. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Ernie is survived by his loving wife, Ginny; children, Michael (Virginia) Kimberling, Laura (Yachine) Kimberling, Amy (Mark) Ferguson; grandchildren, Kalynn, Amber, Jillian, Christopher, Noah, Zakary, Kayden, Sarah, Tyler; great-grandchild, Aubri; sister, Carolyn Premaza; aunt, Arlene Kimberling as well as many other friends, family members, church family from the Newman Center (St. Thomas More) and neighbors who will feel his loss deeply.
The family would also like to say a special thank you to Father Steve and Father Vinny, who have shown the family much love and support during their time of need. Also, a heartfelt thanks goes to Betty, a close friend who also has supported the family during this difficult time.
Ernie retired from painting after 37 years. He was a dedicated and skilled painter who is still missed by his co-workers. Ernie was a member of the Elks Lodge, Grove City. He loved to play cards and spending time with his numerous friends at McDonald's.
The family request that donations be sent in Ernie's name to the Franklin County SPCA, 3015 Scioto Darby Executive Ct. Hilliard, OH 43026 or the Newman Center, 64 W. Lane Ave, Columbus, OH 43201.
Ernie requested that his service be private and for his family only. His family is honoring that request and a private service will be held at a time in the near future.
