Ervin M. "Erv" Maynard, 70, of Grove City, OH, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Erv was born in South Webster, OH on September 10, 1945, to the late Lanzie and Lorena (Flickinger) Maynard and is also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Piguet and brother, Donald Maynard.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Carol (Parsley) Maynard; daughters, Katrina (Mark) Briggs and Meleana (Roger) Burt; grandchildren, Skylar and Ashwin Briggs and Emily and Ian Burt; sisters, Anita (Eddie) Beechler, Ruth Potters, Wanda Riley, Linda (Wendall) Adkins; brothers, Raymond (Betty) Maynard, Herman Maynard, Richard (Nadine) Maynard, Allen (Tonda) Maynard; nieces, nephews and many friends.
He graduated from Bloom Local High School in 1964 and served in the United States Navy. After retiring from Lennox International, he enjoyed vacationing in Florida in the winter with his wife Carol. He was an avid golfer, big sports fan and loved The Ohio State Buckeyes.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, 5-7 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123 with the Funeral Service at 7PM.
Burial will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, 11 AM at South Webster Cemetery, South Webster, OH 45682.
