Escom G. Skaggs, 93, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016. He was born in Terryville, Kentucky on August 28, 1922 to Hunter and Lizzie (McKenzie) Skaggs. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dixie; son George; grandson, Jeff; one sister and 3 brothers.
Escom is survived by his son, Roger (Cheryl) Skaggs; daughter, Elizabeth (Tim) Dilley; grandsons, Steve (Jackie) Skaggs, Mike (Lynn) Skaggs, Jason (Rachel) Dilley; granddaughters, Amy (Christian) Martinez and Molly (Tony Knox) Dilley; twelve great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Hunter (Gay) Skaggs and Wilbur (Cora) Skaggs.
Escom served in the Army during WW II. He retired from Timken Roller Bearing after 30 years of service.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Southwest Freewill Baptist Church, 1542 Greenleaf Road, Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 10 AM to 12 noon. A funeral service will begin at noon with interment to follow at Sunset Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Pastor John Meade.
