Eugene Chitison, Jr., 70, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Columbus, OH. Eugene was born on February 5, 1948 in Columbus to Eugene Chitison, Sr. and Catherine (Cochran) Fitzgerald.
Eugene is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Sarah Jane Winchester and Charles Chitison and Bessie Wright-Cochran and John Cochran.
He is survived by his sons, Adeeb Chitison, Aaron Chitison, Sam Chitison and Ian Henderson Chitison ; daughters, Aarifa Chitison, Leanetra Chitison and Eugenia Dacons; mother, Catherine Fitzgerald; brothers, Donald Chitison , Mark Chitison and Eric Chitison; sisters, Diane Dunn, Judith Booker, Jocelyn Kelley and Marla Fitzgerald; 20 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his special friend Sophia Whitlow and life-long friend Hollie Saunders.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 10 to 11 am at Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 120 S. Napoleon Ave., Columbus, OH 43213 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 am. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family and mailed to The Peace Missionary Baptist Church, 120 S. Napoleon Ave., Columbus, OH 43213.
