Eugene Kepler Sr., "Geno, The Flower and Daylily Man", 84, of Grove City, passed on to be with his Savior, Friday, March 14, 2014.
Eugene was born to the late Emmett & Anna (Killsworth) Kepler on February 16, 1930. He just celebrated his 84th birthday with his family. He was a member of Evangel Temple in Columbus, OH. He sold cars, insurance, was a florist and breeder of daylilies and Iris's. He was a member of the Daylily Society of Columbus, OH. He had several hobbies including reading, genealogy and working with flowers.
Eugene was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Corne) Kepler (1987) and sister, Betty Kepler (2003). Survivors include his 3 children, Debra (William) Miller, Eugene Jr. (Brenda) Kepler, Jon Kepler; brothers, Bobby Kepler and Emmett Kepler, Jr; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; numerous nieces, including Anna Jane Robinett and Pam Cook; nephews; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; cousins and many additional family members and friends.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, March 19, 2014, 5-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH with the Funeral Service on Thursday, March 20, 2014, 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow at 1:30 PM at Walnut Creek Cemetery, Greenfield, OH.
