Listen to Obituary

Eva Untal Trimble, 77, of Grove City, passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2026. She was born in Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, Philippines, on September 2, 1948, to the late Gregorio and Gregoria (Quibido) Untal. On November 14, 1981, she married Bill Trimble; they shared 41 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on January 8, 2023.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Tamra Lynn Trimble (Sean) O’Malley; her grandson, Cullen O’Malley; stepchildren, Cheryl (Chris) Lozier and their child, and Stephen Trimble and his children. She also leaves behind her siblings, Anita Alexander and Concepcion (Victorio) Conejos; her best friend, Carmen Levingston; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and treasured family members and friends.

Along with her parents and spouse, Eva was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Stewart, and nine siblings: Celestino, Corazon, Cesar, Aurora, Gloria, Roberto, Eliza, Federico, and Rusella.

Eva moved to Ohio in 1981 and began a 36-year career that spanned from SuperX to Revco, and finally CVS Pharmacy. She truly loved her work, viewing her coworkers and customers as an extension of her own family.

Outside of work, Eva was an avid gardener. Her home garden was a local treasure that received yearly compliments, and she took great joy in sharing her plants and flowers with friends. In honor of her green thumb, the family requests that guests wear a flower or floral attire to the viewing and Mass.

Eva loved life’s simple pleasures: playing cards with family, dining out, visiting the casino, and watching movies. She was a true force of nature—particular, independent, and determined to do things her way. In the end, she left us exactly as she lived: on her own terms.

Eva disliked seeing others cry, especially regarding her health. She was quick with a joke to provoke a smile, a laugh, or a swift change of subject. Undeniably strong, stubborn, and resilient, she never let her health struggles dim her sense of humor or her beautiful smile.

Our family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to the staff of Zusman Hospice. Your kindness, compassion, and unwavering support provided us with much-needed comfort during this difficult time. The exceptional care you showed Eva was a true blessing, and it will remain a cherished memory for all of us.

Family will greet friends and family from 5pm to 7pm, Monday, May 18, 2026 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions – Southwest, 3393 Broadway, Grove City 43123.
