Evelyn Marie Shellhamer

Evelyn M. "Jo" Shellhamer, age 81, was received by the Lord on Saturday, February 17, 2018. She was born on March 3, 1936 in Columbus, OH.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "Sonny" Shellhamer; parents, Guy and Lorenda Butler; sister, Margaret DeLong; brothers, William, Guy Jr., George and Harry Butler.

Surviving family includes; daughters, Edwina (Daniel) Hornung and Karen Shellhamer; grandchildren, Dessa (Colton) Shepherd, Paul (Sommer) Caldwell, and Eva Hornung; great-grandchildren, Paul Edwin Jr. and Ayce Caldwell; siblings, Jeanie Mastrilli, Sharon Mullins and Charles (Jean) Butler; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Retired from Huntington National Bank. Jo enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling in her active years with Sonny. During the winter months, they liked to spend their time in Naples, FL. She liked baking birthday and wedding cakes for friends and family and was an avid crafter and crocheted intricate doilies and afghans. Jo was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Avondale Methodist Church where she accepted Salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.

Entombment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
