Everett Swackhammer
February 28, 1935 — April 7, 2016
Everett L. Swackhammer, 81, of Columbus, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Whetstone Gardens and Care Center.
He was born February 28, 1935 in Laurelville, son of the late Roy and Elsie Wolfe Swackhammer.
In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Eagle; brother, Richard Swackhammer.
He was a minister, evangelist, gospel singer and hosted the television show "A Witness Ministry".
Everett is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Arbutus Clayton Swackhammer; son, Edward Lael Swackhammer; sisters, Florence (Ned) Gaulke, Charlene Boggs and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to services.
Interment will be in Trenton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help with funeral expenses c/o Arbutus Swackhammer.
Everett had a strong love for his family and the Lord. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
