Florence L. Clifton

Florence “Flo” Lorene Clifton affectionately known by family as Rainy, 72, of Columbus, passed away at home, surrounded by family on July 15, 2024. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 26, 1952 to the late Claxton K. and Erma L. (Evans) Woods. 

Flo was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1993. It gave her great pleasure to share Bible truths with others. In addition to sharing the truth about the Bible, Flo was an avid quilter, seamstress, gardener, and cook. She married the love of her life, Clarence L. Clifton, in 1995. Along with her husband, those left to cherish Flo’s memory include daughter, Angela Dent; step-sons Anthony Clifton, Ray Shawn Clifton, and Benjamin Clifton; granddaughters, Sabrina, Sierra, Alana, Ray’Lishia, Mila, Taylor, Rayana Li, Brianna, Makayla, Jackie; grandsons, James, Kelvin, Rayshawn Jr, Delquante, Christian, Raykwon; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Claxton (Toby) Woods, Gail Woods, Roy “Danny” (Leah) Gibson; Clarence Fite, Richard Fite, Stephanie Fite, Stephen Fite and many other family members and friends. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; son, James E. Mosley, and sister, Frances Webb.

A memorial service to honor Flo’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 570 Robinwood Avenue, Whitehall Ohio, 43213. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for your many prayers, comforting messages and other expressions of kindness and concern during this time of loss.
