Florence loved her family, country music, and her little dog Darcy.
She retired from General Motors in 1989 after 36 years of service. There she was a proud member of the UAW Local 969. She was also a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post # 9857. She was known for her generosity and kind heart.
She was pre-deceased by Husbands Lawrence McCoy and Cecil Rowe; Parents Reese and Myrtle (Big Mommy) Rife; Daughter Anita Leach; Sister Claudette Cook; Brother Clarence and (Caroline) Rife; Brother-in-Law Albert Maynard.
She will be missed by Sister Jerlene Maynard (Pineville W.Va); Son Gary (Bonnie) McCoy; Daughters Debra and Cheryl Rowe; Grandchildren and Great Grand Children Larry James (Noelle) and Caitlin McCoy; Brian Heizer, Melinda (Eric), Chase, and Brynn Cunningham, Shayna and Dustin Rowe, and held deeply in her heart but too many to count were her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 5 to 7pm at Newcomer NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 11am also at Newcomer NE Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
