Floyd "Smokey" Lindsey, 71, of Columbus, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Grant Medical Center.
He was born January 10, 1944 in Chesterfield, S.C., son of the late Julius Johnson and Johnsie Lindsey.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by his sister, Willie Mae Lindsey.
He is survived by his wife, Emma J. Lindsey; daughters, Teresa and Tracey Lindsey and Barbara Miles; sons, Larry "Doug" and Floyd "Shell" Lindsey; sister, Judy Lindsey; grandchildren, Nikkita, De'ja, Floyd II and Kayliv Lindsey, Lindsey Harris, Rico and Tiahna Lindsey, Yazmin Cole, Keawna and Shenika Miles; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, with the memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.
