Frances Lucille Cameron (Varian), 96, of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away on October 12th, 2017 at 8:43pm in Hilliard, Ohio of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Harrison Cameron, son Paul Andrew Cameron, daughter Linda Lucille Stumph, parents Frank A. Varian & Gertrude R. Varian, brothers Frank (Bud) Varian and Clarence (Red) Varian, sisters Audrey Sisson, Catherine Vititoe and Liddie Booth. Surviving children Stella Gertrude VanCuren, Charles Harrison Cameron Jr., Mary Elizabeth Baumgart, Barbara Joanne Eldridge, Jerry Lee Cameron, Arthur Byron Cameron and a COUNTLESS amount of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also, many dear friends in Ohio and Florida, where she spent many years on Hollywood Beach. She was nicknamed and known by many as Betty Boop, Fanny, Granny Fanny or simply Lucille. She was born on December 18th, 1920 in Pomeroy, OH.
She was a devoted wife (married October 17, 1936), mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was feisty, outspoken, honest, loving and supportive. She continually shared words of wisdom and never lacked the honesty to tell it like it is, in any situation. She possessed a deep intuition that was seldom wrong. Many referred to her as a "freak of nature" because she did not age. It led to the belief that she was immortal and would outlive us all. She enjoyed time with her many grandkids, solving puzzles and teaching them the ways of life. Some of her endless talents included cooking, baking, embroidery and quilting. Even up to her final days her mind was sharp and she moved around exceptionally well. She navigated the halls and did everything herself.
She was a sassy-unapologetic-loving-bad***, who raised 8 children shortly after the Great Depression. She is the matriarch of our family and has touched so many lives. Boop enjoyed her final days at Darby Glen Nursing Home, playing bingo, making crafts and mingling amongst the home's community. A week before joining heaven, she received the "Resident of the Month" award. It was awarded to her for her constant participation and dedication to the home's activities. Her daughter, Barbara ensured she was well taken care of and had everything she needed on her frequent visits. Boop told numerous stories and loved to express how grateful she was of her long, fulfilling life.
