Freda I. Cramer, born October 31, 1934, was a vibrant soul who called Columbus, Ohio, home her entire life. Freda passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at the age of 91 years young.
Freda worked at Sears Distribution for many years and spent countless years working with the Columbus Clippers organization. She was fiercely independent and always ready for her next adventure. Freda loved bowling, playing the slots at the casino, visiting the zoo, and attending Clippers baseball games. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, attending festivals and craft shows, and taking boat and train rides. Anything that gave Freda an opportunity to get out, explore, and see a little more of the world was right up her alley. Her weekends were rarely spent sitting still.
More than anything, Freda lived life on her own terms. She enjoyed staying busy, going places, and spending time with the people who were important to her. Those who knew Freda will remember her independent spirit, her sense of adventure, and a life that remained full well into her 91st year.
Freda is survived by her nephews, Terry (Linda Beazley) Wassmuth and Roger (Corinne) Wassmuth; great-nephews, Jimmy (Crystal), Daniel (Mandy), Roger (April), David (Kim), Garret (Claire), Carson (Christina), and Austin; great-niece, Amber; great-great-nephews, Carter, Benjamin, Cole, Harrison, Christian, Jaxton, Conrad, Kason, Rhettson, and Archie; great-great-nieces, Bella and Camberleigh; her very special friend, Gail Kelley; and many other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, M.E. "Ed" Cramer, her parents, Pearl and Opal Devore; her brother, Dennis Devore; her sister, Theda Wassmuth, her brother in law, Roger Wassmuth; her nephew Russell Wassmuth; and her longtime companion and partner-in-crime, Clyde Sullivan.
