Frederick Richard"Dick" Ritter

Frederick Richard "Dick" Ritter, 82, of Gahanna, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 surrounded by his loving family at The Rehabilitation and Health Center of Gahanna. He was born May 26, 1932 in Columbus, son of the late Fred and Dorothy Pymer Ritter. In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Jack Ritter; sisters, D. Louise Martin, Marilyn Ritter and D. Jean Hughes. He was a member of the Columbus Boychoir School 1944-1946 (now known as the American Boychoir School). Dick graduated from North High School class of 1950 and The Ohio State University class of 1957. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jocelyn Cady Ritter; children, Jeff (Cynthia) Ritter, Deborah (David) Albrecht, Dave (Sue) Ritter and Janelle (Jim) McGrath; grandchildren, Sara Ritter, Leah (Chris) Deason, Allan (Joy) Ritter, Noreen (Steve) Klein, Adam (Jessie) Ritter, Nicole Mikusa, Lauren Albrecht, Amanda Ritter, Justin Mikusa, Michelle Ritter and Josh Albrecht; great grandchildren, McKenna, Autumn, Sadie, Mallory, Monica, Natalie, Miles, Brayden and Gracyn.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 4925 Sunbury Road, Columbus, OH 43230, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church or Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.

Interment will be in Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg.

Dick blessed many with his God given musical gifts. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known him.
