Fredrick "Fred" Eugene Spitler, 75, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Grant Medical Center.
He was born August 17, 1939 in Columbus, son of the late Raymond Spitler and Mildred Smith Upperman.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Louise Wilson Spitler; father and mother-in-law, John Christopher and Emma Wilson; four legged companion, Taylor Nicole.
He is survived by his daughters, Tamera "Tammy" (Scott Chalfant) Spitler and Amy (Charlie) Domitrovich; grandchildren, Dallas Spitler, Justin, Jacob and Jessica Domitrovich; special friends, Jim and Janet Workman, Mary Ramsey, Pat and Martha McGee and The Paul Family; cousins, Lisa, Vicki and Robin; nieces and nephews, John, Carrie, Denny, Gerald, Jodi, Kristen and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215.
